I found this link online and had to share:
It talks about things fit people wont do. It listed out three things which i will list and put my own two cents.
1. “I only work out when I feel like it.”: I totally agree with this. Noone ever really wants to workout every single day. There will be days you have to drag yourself out of bed, days you really do not want to get out of bed or are too tired to be bothered with working out. Some days i really dont wanna work out but i have found, the hard part is getting up and stepping outside the door. Once you get out, the rest is history.
You could set a time each day that works best for you, morning, afternoon, evening or night time. It usually helps having a planned schedule, that way you know when you are meant to work out and ensure nothing comes between both of you (at least ill hope workout is priority enough that nothing comes between you lol). Set a time and reward yourself with something non-food related so you always have something to look forward to if you workout.
2. “Weekends don’t count.”: Of course weekends count! In fact that is when i get more workout time for myself! no work timelines or anything. Just because you worked out all week or ate clean all week does not mean you should throw it all away during the weekend in the name of cheat day. Even if you don’t want a real workout, you could take a walk in the park, walk your dog, go dancing, hiking or do something fun but don’t waste that precious weekend workout time doing nothing.
My weekends consist of my longer run days, sometimes i take sunday off just because i tend to do most of my running around on sunday, thus thats my one day of break for the week. Trust me, i know sometimes the weekend is the busiest due to events, however plan ahead and if you absolutely cant help to fit a workout in, thats fine, you catch up later but don’t plan not to workout already!
3. “My friends are couch potatoes.”: Excuse me???? so what if they are couch potatoes, does not mean you gotta join them and be one too lol. If you are the type that loves to do stuff with your friends all the time, you could plan a fun activity that will help you all workout together, for instance a little morning run on weekends, gym meet-up, go swimming, play tennis, anything fun that you can do in group, rather than go out to eat or drink and pack on more calories. I love to workout alone, or rather i don’t mind working out alone thus i don’t care if everyone around me would rather sit and stay inactive, that wont make me less motivated to workout. Don’t get me wrong, once in a while i may fall to some tempting idea lol and not workout but thats once in a while.
Again, try to plan fun activities for you to do with your friends so you are all active and fit!!!
