I count my macros and not calories. Macros are macronutrients like Carbs, protein and fat. I also make sure i am within goal in my fiber and micronutrients so it all balances out.
One restaurant i love going to on days i want to hit my macros real fast is Chipotle. I love Chipotle lol. Here is a breakdown of what i order. I get just a serving of everything.
Brown rice 200 calories: 4oz
Chicken 4oz 180 calories
Romaine Lettuce 1 oz 5 calories
Sometimes i add Black beans 4oz 120calories
Mild salsa 3.5oz 20 calories
Roasted Chili-Corn Salsa 3.5oz 80 calories
Fajita vegetables 2.5oz 20 calories
For a total of 625 calories, 17g Fat 80g carb, 21g of Fiber and 47.5g protein
Note, this isn’t a meal i eat often but i eat this on days i want to hit my macros fast or better put have a fun cheat meal lol.
Again, it depends on your macros, mine have been well calculated and so this meal can comfortably fit in one meal and i would not have any problem getting all my other meals for the day. It is based on my daily workout intensity and routine, thus i never reveal my macros to avoid anyone getting confused or using them.
I avoid the Chips, sour cream and guacamole at all costs. I really do not like the taste of guacamole anyway
