Happy New Week! Arghhh i just got back My Trip to Valencia, Spain last night and back to the cold annoying weather of Maryland. It was so nice and warm in Valencia, i didn’t want to come back. It was a nice break from life, cooking etc and my Mother-in-law came with us so it made it so much more enjoyable. My fabulous cousin was getting married hence the short vacation. We got in on the 7th of March so spent about 6 days there and it was oh so amazing! Although i didn’t get to sight see as much as i wanted thanks to hubby being tired lolll. My energy level when it comes to things like that is unmatched. I can walk round the world and still have energy to go round 5 more times so he couldn’t keep up and mother-in-law wanted to go shopping instead and lil Demi would rather sleep 🙁
Anyway, here are some pictures from Valencia
I love this kid gift from the airline. I also loved that Demi got her own seatbelt to be strapped onto Grandma. Demi did pretty good on all the flights going and coming except for having an increased boobie time desire, for some reason she wanted to nurse 24/7 so that was super hard to deal with.
The language struggle. We did so much sign language it was crazy. I need to learn Spanish lol. I took a year of it and had a medical Spanish class so i could pick bits here and there but once they started talking fast i was like back up back up! But seriously it was a struggle. Hubby got a taxi to take him to the welcome party venue and nearly got taken to Mars (joking) cause the driver was lost and hubby couldn’t speak Spanish so he called me and i had to give my cousin (the bride) the phone to try to explain to the way to the driver.
We went to the BIOPARC zoo: This is meant to be a new generation type zoo with no barriers for the animals. I didn’t realize what no barriers meant till we got in and only had a stick separating the lions from us. Hubby was going ahead of us and the next thing i saw him screaming and running back towards us yelling “hyena hyena” it was so scary but we laughed afterwards. There was just a stick and barely 5 steps between him and the hyenas. I was so scared. Then other animals such as elephants, lions, tigers were literally a stone throw away from us with no cages.
Oceanografic: This was an aquarium, we also saw a dolphin show. which is basically a small version of Sea World, so expect to pay to visit. It’s not cheap, but it is well worth it for sure. They do a dolphin display and it has the largest glass water tunnel in Europe to walk through, directly underneath the massive fish tank, with sharks swimming a few metres from your face!
Arts and Science museum: We just strolled in and out of here as someone (hubby) was tired : (
Turia Garden: This is such a refreshing place to run, there were so many people running or working out, I was in Heaven lolll. It was so peaceful and inviting. (Crazytourist.com): The river was diverted and in the 80s its riverbed in the city was turned into nine kilometres of verdant green space. A total of 18 bridges still cross the riverbed, the oldest dating back to the middle ages, and are now just another part of the unusual scenery in the park.
We wanted to visit the cathedral but on getting there we were short of 1 euro and she refused to let us in!!!!!!!! I was shocked but can’t blame her lol.
Seafood Paella: Paella is a Valencian rice dish
Ooooh my lovely cousin, she looked like a princess. I cried when she put on the veil, it just got so real i couldn’t hold myself. It was such a beautiful moment and the love in both their eyes was so real. She is such an amazing woman. she is 3 months older than me and likes to rub it in lollll but for real sometimes when she speaks its like she is years older. She is so full of wisdom its crazy. You can hardly find a reason not to love her and i am so happy she found the man of her dreams
Transitions of her dress
I love the transitions of the dress. She was able to remove the bottom skirt during the reception.
Some of the lovely ladies of the Bridal Party
Dont you just love these ladies?
She had us add lace to the back to make it similar to her dress and to look unique. Actually it was initially to cover our bras if we had to, but it came out looking amazing!
Bride and her Groomsmen
This was the most unique bridal party gift i have gotten. The cards were made out of pictures of each of us with the bride at various times. She also had robes made out of Ankara material.
